    Inventory Software

I can't believe I'm having such a hard time finding gun collection software. I know about NM Collector, except it is so old, and doesn't seem to work anymore. I don't want to make my own using Excell. I don't want to use one of the available phone apps. I just need a simple program that is like NM Gun Collector. With all the data files to fill in, and simple photo features. Freeware or purchased download, or physical CD/DVD is ok. For Win 7 and Win 10. It doesn't have to be ATF approved as a bound book. Just for my own use as a inventory list.

You could try something designed for home inventory. Like Sortly
Easily track your belongings, valuables, and collections with one powerful easy-to-use app. Learn more and try Sortly free for 14 days.

    or Google Keep

There is another one for IOS called MyStuff which looks pretty interesting
Download MyStuff2 Pro by Rick Maddy on the App Store. See screenshots, ratings and reviews, user tips, and more apps like MyStuff2 Pro.

But note: A lot of these apps have come and gone over the years. When they go, all your data goes with it usually. An Excel spreadsheet as a backup is a good idea.

Looked at a few others, and went with "Second Amendment Firearms Database"

      Seems ok, so far.
      $30 bucks.

      Thanks for the info.

I would not purchase anything from a site that does not use spell check.

Personally, I could not find anything commercially available that I liked or wished to pay for. So, I made a list of the necessary fields from examples in other software and then made my own. If you have the Microsoft Office suite then you have the Access database that you can use.

This will take you a little bit of time to plan and depending on your knowledge of the Access program a few hours to set up. From my experience, setting up the database doen't take that long but laying out the reports can take some time.

With this database I can print out individual firearm reports, print out total firearm list reports, print out a C&R report that duplicates my bound book, etc.

All in all, it is worth the time commitment to set it up.
