    Buying C&R firearm in-state

Okay, this is a dumb newbie question, but I need to ask anyway. If I buy a C&R eligible rifle from a fellow private citizen Californian, do I need to record it in my FFL 03 required bound book?

Yes, you need to log any C&R firearms obtained or disposed in your bound book. Even if it's not 50 years old, like a Yugo SKS or a Makarov pistol. Your book is for the feds.

The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.

Thanks for the confirmation. Do I need the DL as well if the seller doesn't have an FFL 03?

All that is required is name and address.
