Post pictures here and people will give you an idea of what they are. That's a decent start.

Yep, photograph them all and post here.
Conditional is everything, so the better the pics, the better people will be able to help.

Separate everything by model and type then photograph each. You can then go through gunbroker and look for things that were sold recently as an approximation, or if you want to dig deeper, hop on the gunboards forum and see what private sales yielded. You can also try getting them appraised as well.

Go to coltforum and look up the member moniker,Lumberjack.
I think his name is Tom.
He may go by lumberjack in gun broker.
          This guy is super honest.
I referred him to a guy recently who has a collection, esp a particular air force revolver w provenance. The guy told me that lumberjack was very honest considering his past contacts with regards to selling his collection.
Good luck. It's alot of hard work so you are better off hiring a broker.

First question is does your friend want max $ on those guns? or does your friend just want to get rid of them (out of the house)? Go from there once you established that.

From selling them individually yourself to dump entire collection to an FFL, many options.

Calgunner EBRWorks can sell them on Gun Broker, if that is the route your friend wants to take. He has a place in the vendor section, but here is a direct link to his web page that talks about how he handles consignments.

I have used him a couple of times for transactions and he is very easy to work with.

Not everyone likes or cares about guns I've known/know gun collectors that think their daughter/son in law/grandson will care about the guns and treasure them for generations but in reality they will be sold for pennies on the dollar right after the funeral to the closest gun shop or pawn shop.

For the newest iPhone, rent, bottle service at the club and rims. The gun shop needs to make a profit too but a little due diligence and research will make it a more profitable sale.

Lock, Stock & Barrel Investments in Simi Valley does a good job of listing & selling stuff on gunbroker.

They take all the photos and list them on gunbroker, which exposes them to a nationwide audience. Things sell for the market value.

It's a good way to sell guns for someone not familiar with them, that may be overwhelmed.

It's also the way to net the most amount of money without having to research everything and deal with it all yourself.

Here is a link to thier current items, so you can see examples of how they post them.

Like most of us here, we'd buy stuff if the price was fair. You might put a list together and let us take a peek at it. PAX

I think it’s possible to get very fair prices by listing them for sale on calguns. You can probably get more than you would on Gunbroker for mid range things since PPT avoids tax and shipping. I haven’t had trouble moving guns on calguns in SD ever. You just need some help setting prices.

There’s at least one person in SD looking for a P38. I think those are straight forward to price (compared to the Lugers).

The problem with listing on CGN is having to wait for hours to do multiple PPT's, tons of flakes, lowballers, scammers and nonsense.

For a large collection and someone not used to dealing with guns it's a poor choice.

There can be a lot of minutia with broomhandles and Lugers (and the others) so professional help is probably worth the cost. I am watching the listings Lock, Stock and Barrel has on a few broomhandles right now.

Post a few pictures, if you can, so I can drool over them.
