Is your rifle a 6.5mm? You could ask the guy who started this thread...
if he wants to sell that box of clipped ammo.__________________

yeah, numrich is notoriously high on these things. and yes, 6.5 and 7.35 use the same clips. it is a 6.5 though, and a damn pretty one at that. got it for 200 at costa mesa, as well as an arisaka 38 carbine. 2 new 6.5s for my collection. yay! i'll poke around and GB and see if i can get some clips. thanks guys.Comment

"correct" is not really a concern of mine. gunboat, i'd take 1 or 100, not real picky. as it stands, i have none, so any would be great.Comment

Nope. Sorry. The clips are the same. The ones marked 38 were just made in 1938. They are identical to the others made the year before and the year after. As for "correct", the Italians used whatever box of ammunition they were handed. One of the reasons they went back to the 6.5 during WWII was because they were sitting on 40+ years of surplus ammo for them.

Well, not nope, sorry. I plenty of examples of both and yes they will hold either cartridge, but no they are not marked similarly, nor are they made of the same material. So again...Nope. Sorry.Nope. Since you're so familiar with Carcano ammunition perhaps you could give me a rundown on the production timelines of each of the two cartridges was produced by the Italian military, headstamp breakdown, case and clip construction materials?Comment

wow, what does this have to do with my need for stripper clips that i already knew would work for both?Comment
