Webley part ID

I took apart my two Webley Mk IV's in .38/200. One is 1945 wartime with a 5 inch barrel and the other is 1968 commercial with a 4 inch barrel.

At some time during the disassembly, two parts fell out of the 1968 commercial. They were not present in the 1945. I've spent all night looking at all the milsurp parts stores, eBay, Pinterest, forums, etc and I cannot figure out what they are or do. Exploded diagrams that I've found omit these two.

Only buymilsurp.com had a "parts lot" where both pieces are pictured. No description though. I'm afraid to ask because it's probably obvious but anyone out there recognize these parts?

Perhaps some sort of importer added safety device?

I’ve put the Webley back together and the importer safety device is safe and sound in my tool box.

Thanks for the update! That is exactly what I would have done too

I would consider turning that screw they added into a plug screw and cold blue it if possible, and loctite it in. Or if the threads are somewhat standard, find another donor screw to be a plug screw. That screw you have there may be stainless and would not blue.
