From the few pics, it looks like you have a missing nipple. However, more likely you have a broken nipple that will be very difficult to remove unless you have experience. As far as the heavily scoured tang with the damaged screw, the tang is part of the barrel. You couldn't replace it without getting a new barrel. I would weld the tang to fill the scouring and file / sand down to fit if it was something worth saving. Then make a new screw.

That firearm was made before standardization standards existed. I wish you luck on finding a machinist who can make custom parts.

H Aston & Co sold 34 thousand of them to the US Army, I was kinda hoping there was some level of standardization.

Track of the Wolf might be of assistance.

Are any of the parts broken other than the nipple? Muzzle loaders are easy to work on and you can make any part of them if you are a little handy with a file.

Are there some number stamped on the tang?

I don't know if nipple threads and thus percussion cap nipples were standardized. But, if the threads are totally rusted, there has to be modern taps to thread for a modern cap nipple.

                  Best of luck.

This one is part of a set, not only is it missing the nipple but it will not hold full cock, and half-cocked it does not lock.
The second one is fully functional and safe to fire, interestingly enough someone long ago picked away and erased the etchings on the metal (a confederate who "liberated" the pistol maybe?)
Getting the damaged one fixed is starting to look like more work than I want to bother with. I think I will sell them "as Is" and look for one or two in better shape

No numbers on the tang that I can find. as I mentioned, this is one of a pair, the other one does not have
any numbers on the tang either,
