    Transporting C & R firearms

My brother and me live together and even though he has the C & R license, I do most of the purchasing and collecting. My question is "How do you show proof of ownership when handling and transporting C & R type weapons" (say if I go to the range alone, etc)?

    Thanks

You are not required to show proof of ownership when transporting firearms. when you go to the range alone just pack the rifles or handguns in the car(handguns in locked case or in trunk, Longuns wherever you feel like transporting them). Even if your brother is the legal owner CA and fed law provides for the infrequent loan of a firearm. If (and I do mean if) you get pulled over and the cops search your vehicle(if again) they will just run serial #s to find out if they are stolen. They aren't going to care who "owns" them unless you are engaged in other criminal activity. At which point you have other legal issues and should just STFU and not talk to the cop.
In any type of fight, & especially gun fights, there are no winners ..... just varying degrees of losers. The only fight you win is the one you never get into.

There is NO requirement of law that the ammo be locked up.............
