C&R pistols and 30 day Purchase periods.

If I ordered a CZ-52 and had it shipped to my dealer, would I have to wait 30 days to dros my other non C&R pistol i have with him?

If you have a C&R FFL from BATFE and a Certificate of Eligability from CalDOJ then you can avoid the "one handgun per 30 days" rule, even on modern handguns. Otherwise you are going to have to wait 30 days to DROS a second handgun.

If by chance the other pistol is a PPT (person to person transfer) then it doesn't count towards the 30 day separation. But it sounds like it's not.

          C&R for a pistol?

I don't think you can use a C&R for pistols in CA, unless you physically carry it to the state. check out Empire arms section on CA C&R laws :

A federally defined C&R pistol, regardless of age, can be imported into CA if it is legally purchased out of state by a CA resident with a Class 03 C&R FFL and if physical possession of the piece is taken by the Californian Class 03 C&R FFL outside of CA. It can be imported by the CA Class 03 C&R FFL purchaser only - hand carry it back or UPS it to yourself. Importation of the pistol must be reported within 5 days to the DOJ on their special form BCIA 4100A with a $19 payment per firearm. Buying a C&R Makarov with your Class 03 C&R FFL in Las Vegas or Arizona and bringing it back to California with you is OK if you register it within 5 days.

How about buying more than 1 C&R handgun and bringing them back together? Am I breaking the 1 per month law? I am under the same restriction from my wife too.

multiple out of state C&R pistols

Good Question, I looked up on the DOJ site and found

              4002. Miscellaneous Report Fees.
As authorized pursuant to subdivisions (f) and (j) of section 12076 of the Penal Code, the Firearms Division fees for voluntary firearm ownership report, intra-familial transfer of handgun or handgun acquired by operation of law report, new resident's importation of handgun report, and curio and relic (C & R) collector's out-of-state acquisition of C & R handgun report are as follows:
              (a)
Fee for voluntary firearm ownership report: $19 per firearm reported
              (b)
Fee for intra-familial transfer of handgun or handgun acquired by operation of law report: $19 for one or more handguns reported
              (c)
Fee for new resident's importation of handgun report: $19 per handgun reported
              (d)
              Fee for C & R collector's out-of-state acquisition of C & R handgun report: $19 per handgun reported

Seens to indicate you can get more than one.

keep in mind: C&R handguns are excempt from the "drop test" roster requirement

there are two legal ways for a CA resident to get a C&R handgun in Cali:

                  (1) go out of state, buy it there, hand carry back or fedex it to yourself, then fill out the form + $19 to the DOJ

                  (2) have it shipped to a 01 FFL, go through the DROS just like any other handgun...

now if the C&R gun in question is already in the state, treat it like any other handgun: PPT through a 01 FFL
