    I don't know if these are "original replicas" so to speak, but Optics Planet carries the Malcolm scope set up:http://www.opticsplanet.net/leatherw...flescopes.html

    I was surprised to find them available for new 1885s - this question may have cost me $500.00 or so.......

      don't think there's anyone local, but i'd browse the internet. i know i've seen this stuff, just can't remember where, SGN perhaps? i dunno, all else fails, google it and hunt around, it's a PITA, but if you're tenacious, the answer is there. good luck and happy hunting, kudos on the Sharps too, takes real stones to mess around with the REAL old school stuff.

            The Hi-Luxe/Malcolm scopes come with mounts for 3/8" dovetails . I'll bet you a cold beer that your Sharps has 1/2" dovetails. You should also get the heavy rear mount set-up for your 45/70 { $26.00 } Hi-Luxe is in Santa Ana , I think , and my parts were here in about 3 days.

                You can do it yourself.All you do is tap out the current mounts {dovetailed}
                slide in the new ones and tap it in secure . The 'heavy mount' has the holes to line up where your rear scope is bolted on.The scope comes with a std extension.Others are available to accomodate barrels to 34" .
