    Just got my C&R FFL!

My long weeks of waiting are over with: I now have my C&R license! But now I find myself worrying about logistics.

Is it okay to scan the original certificate and print out copies to give to sellers? Or do I need to make a color copy? And can I use a spreadsheet as my bound book record or does it have to be an actual notebook of some kind?

Don't sign your original license. Make copies of it and sign the copies with either blue or red ink and send those to sellers and vendors. There are free spreadsheets available to record your transactions but I am using an actual book.

Reproductions from electronic copies are fine either color or B&W. The bound book needs to be a hard copy, but does not necessarily need to be bound. You can print out pages for it here. Make sure you send a copy of your 03 FFL to Brownells and MidwayUSA (others, too) for dealer pricing.

I didn't even realize I could qualify for dealer pricing at MidwayUSA. I've got several places to send signed copies off to tomorrow now.

Thanks to both of you for your help!

I think if I overdo it with the Mausers and Mosin-Nagants, my wife will quite cheerfully get some target practice with my new acquisitions---with me as the target.

I don't doubt it. Already I'm eyeing Mausers, Mosin-Nagants, and K31s online. If it weren't for my current contract ending so soon, there would probably be a stack of long boxes on my porch in the near future!

Wait until you start getting into the SVT-40's and FN49's - eeek!
