M1 Carbine

I finally broke down and will be ordering a Service Grade M1 Carbine on Monday. It will be a service grade Saginaw. The current wait time according the the CMP web site is from 3-6 months. Also ordered some ammo wtih a wait time of 3-6 months also. Maybe they will get here about the same time (I hope)

Cool. The M1 Carbine is one of the most fun guns I've ever shot. It is a very neat, handy little rifle.
Too bad ammo is getting so damn expensive. At least the CMP still sells it for a decent price.

Good move, your gonna love it. Mine has become the all around camp rifle. While you are waiting I'd suggest buying a bolt tool and some bolt innards. I also picked up a mag pouch and sling. If I lived closer to the north or south store I'd need another safe. Hope you carbine arrives first....

yes they are great fun! i do concure with mosby, buy a bolt tool. i made the mistake of taking apart my bolt without a tool. man that was a pain in the butt to put back together! i'm still trying to find a decently priced bolt tool....
