    Surplusrifle.com Is Being Shut Down!!!

For those of you who've been there, SurplusRifle.com is shutting down March 30th, 2007. I am personally a little heartbroken. This website is the one that got me started in collecting. It's an invaluable resource for disassembly instructions, maintence tips, and loads of other information. I'm gonna miss it...

I suggest you guys try saving .pdfs and what have you while you still can. or you can order a couple of CDs for like $5 each...

Man, that sucks. Although in the last couple paragraphs, it looks kind of like they're doing a wiki, although maybe a closed-contributor one.

Wow, I don'y know what to say. That site is one of my favorites and has provide much valuable information over the last 5 years. I hope Jamie makes a full recovery and changes his mind about closing the site.

IMO and experience, WinHTTrack WebSite Copier is an even better friend.

Very good web site copy/mirroring utility with sophisticated configuration capabilities, the ability to dig down past typical sentries and very good update "refreshing" feature.

I've used that site as a reference many a time.

                    Bought both 1 & 2.

I download probably 10-60 gigs a month not counting daily usage.

500mb is nothin... flashget has the ability to download an entire directory/database.

Seriously though, this does suck pretty bad. I am heavily debating getting a CD/mirror myself. I might wait until later to get an as complete copy as I can.

what?! the site raised like 3 grand last year. how much does it take to run a site like that? I pitched in last time, but this time I can't.

I am confused. He says if we buy CD1 and CD2 that we will have everything they ever published, but yet there are more assembly/disaasembly CDs for sale?
