Age? really? I've got guns almost 150 years old and I still shoot them. It takes tens of thousands of rounds to wear out a quality pistol, I wouldn't worry about it as the gun still looks fresh.

Heh - I've got a SA 1911 that has easily 70,000 rounds of LSWC through it, and still shoots straight and functions just fine.
Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

Rock Island has a good reputation. why, specifically, are you concerned with their description here?

they under describe and under estimate.

I have a 1944 M1 Carbine but I have no idea how many rounds have been put through it. I have owned it for over thirty years and it has never failed to function properly.
I have three S&W N-frames (1964, 1968 and 1973) that I bought from Martin B. Retting in 1997. They each shoot as well as they did when I first got them.
Unless they are abused, quality made firearms will outlive their owners.

Is there visible sign of "idiot scatch"?

Petty cosmetic imperfection but a deal breaker for what seems a lot of CGers.
