Just Got My 03 FFL & CMP Garand Arrive Tomorrow!

Hey Everyone, I just wanted to post that I got my 03 FFL in the mail today and then received an e-mail from the CMP that my first Garand (of two ordered) arrives tomorrow! I have been sick as a dog all weekend, but those two events make it all worthwhile.

Will post pics of the rifle when it gets here!

Yea i am wondering the same i sent mine in two weeks ago.

It varies...took me about 12 weeks. I have seen others get theirs in 3.
It makes no sense to me.

I mailed my application on May 5. My credit card was charged on May 8. I received my FFL in the mail on May 26. So, it took me exactly 3 weeks.

My HRA Service Grade Garand arrived yesterday. I still have a SA Garand on order.

The rifle is at the gun store getting a once-over. Here are some pics I took during the unboxing. The flash kept blowing out the colors, but without the flash, it was way too dark (pic #1). The actual wood color is little bit darker than the brighter photos.

Hope your not spending too much for this. CMP headspaces and test fires these rifles before they sell them.

thanks for the tip trickster! i was considering taking mine to the shop before i shot it. but after reviewing the cmp website further your right! just saved me a nice little chunk of change!

that means it's just that much more for another can of ammo! time to hit the e-store!!!
