They are Imports - where from I wonder? More from the Africa / Ethiopia stash?

These were original WWII Era M1 Carbine rifles that were stored overseas for years before recently being re-imported back into the United States. Rifles have and are being sold under their original serial numbers and have not been importer re-marked.

From the video it seems to be a Classically Classic crapshoot - the metal looked OK, some with original barrels, but the stocks ranged from good P-proofed specimens to spray painted, sharpie-written sanded down replacement stocks - and that's the ones they chose to show in the video...

Still, they showed some I would like to own too... but when I used that logic to buy my last SKS from them it was underwhelming.

Was it just me or did it bother anyone else that 2 guys handling military rifles had to sweep each other like 20 times in a 3 minute video?

1399 leans toward the high end of going rates these days, but not surprising as a dealer sale. It is amusing they list 1799 as "MSRP" for an out-of-production 80 year old gun. The MSRP on these was like $45.

With all those rare makers, I wonder if they were put-togethers from receivers and parts. If you could handle them up front you might be able to see what makers the parts came from.

I assume they have the importer's name and address as required by law but no added importer-generated serial number. The importer usually generates a new added serial number when the original serial number has Cyrillic or other foreign characters, or if the original serial number is illegible.

Yeah they will have import marks just not new importer issued serial numbers.

Seems a little pricey, I would rather be bidding on an individual firearm online where at least you know what you are getting. I would take the gamble at Classic if they were priced between $600 and $800 to buy sight unseen.
