Bound Book Question

I've aquired a beautifal S&W Model 28 Highway Patrolman from a gun shop as a consignment sale. The serial number dates the gun as made in 1958 or 1959. I've entered it into my bound book, but I'm unsure as to what to enter in the 'purchased from' section.

Do I enter the shop's info or do I need to contact the shop for the previous owners info?

The shop transferred the firearm to you. That's the information you enter.
