Colt Walker

I saw a customer's gun at my local gun store which was a Colt made Walker, witha price tag less than 500 bucks, and it was gorgeous, yet I can't find it on the Colt website, or any where else. Anyone have any suggestions where to look?

Sounds like either a second or third generation Colt Blackpowder Series gun, and at less than $500 it's a steal. However, it could be a Uberti in which case it would be overpriced. If you're really interested in it, take a close look, and see if there are any Colt markings on it, especially if there is Sam Colt's signature on the grip backstrap.

An Uberti marked Walker should be between 329.00-469.00 depending on where you find it.

*a 2nd Gen 'Colt mfg' Walker would be inthe neighborhood of 595.00- 750.00.

*a 3rd Gen' Colt mfg' Walker would price at about 500.00.

The reason I put 'Colt mfg' on italics is becasue the guns are not made at the Colt facotry or in fact not even made in the USA.

Colt 2nd and 3rd Gen C+B handguns were ALL made in Italy at the Uberti facotry. They were then shipped disassembled and unfinished and were completed at Colt USA [ for bluing, case color and final fitting].

Colt 2nd Gen C+B handguns were made in the 80's and bring a premium price-wise and to my eye they look beter than the 3rd Gen guns IMHO.

Nice piece! That explains the price. It was in a colt box and was not an uberti model, as it was all engraved and shiny.
