I was going through old boxes of my late dad's papers last night and found this "Owner's Inventory" from when he returned from Europe.

The pistol has been a part of my life since I was a kid and I have no intention of selling it, yet. But a time will come when I need to dispose of it and I'm sure my wife will be able to use the money.

All the numbers match, including one magazine.

Does this document add and 'value' to this weapon?

Pretty cool! My dad ended the war out-processing GIs at Ft. Sheridan who had been overseas for their war service. He may have out-processed your dad!

Be careful removing the left grip. Otherwise you'll end up with a chunk taken out around the back of the safety.

Surely it can be handed down within your family - ?

I have sold a few with papers, and they don't add as much as you'd like when you're selling.
But, when I'm buying the papers always seem to add a lot more, hah.

If you can find any of the other items it would obviously be helpful in the sale.
