    Need some help

For the last month I've been listing a 1903 Colt semiauto on Calguns for a friend without any success. Does anyone know of a dealer in greater Sacramento area or eve Bay Area who specializes in old guns?

I really like EWG Guns in Loomis. The owner is Ed and he deals in mostly older guns.

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

Being honest the problem is the price. At $700 it would likely be sold. Even $900 you would get offers. $1200 people aren't even going to make offers because they don't want to insult sellers so they just move on. Just giving honest answer since you asked.

Exactly! I collect Colts and I personally wouldn't pay more than $500-600 for one that's been messed with and that one looks like it has been reblued and the jeweling on the barrel is definitely not original.

The primary market for '03 Pocket hammer Colts is going to Colt collectors and IMO that one needs to be priced more in line with it's condition.

          1903

I have a 1903 also. First, you must specify that this is a pocket hammer, not the more numerous 1903 hammerless. Go to Gunbroker, under completed transactions, and see how many have actually SOLD and at what price. Do not be led by prices listed; only that sold. I personally like J&G in Granite bay, but anyone is going to take a cut on a consignment sale

Thanks to all. I will talk with owner, who's not a gun guy but inherited the pistol and see where he wants to go from here
