hello all, i was just wondering... how long does it take for the BATF to send you the C&R application forms? i've been waiting almost 2 weeks now and still nothing.

You cannot download a copy of the C&R application, you have to have the original form in all its green splendor.

took about 30 days for me if I recall correctly.

it can take weeks to months to get a copy of the C&R app from ATF.

Its been taking so long that a fellow calgunner scanned a current copy of the app and PDF'ed it. A couple of them have been sent in to ATF, and ATF has charged the credit card that was on the PDF, but it hasn't been long enough to know if ATF will actually approve the PDF'ed app.


The main reason it is said you can't dl the app is that cruffler.com has a 10-year old version of the app on the website which is no longer acceptable. That does not mean that a new app printed on white paper wouldn't be acceptable.

I called the BATF and asked if they would accept a copy and they said as long as it was the most current form (which I confirmed via number lower right hand corner) that a copy would be fine.

Hopefully this person knew what they were talking about but she sounded like she did.

I have called and confirmed 3 different times that they would accept the pdf we have here. Twice was the same girl. Other time was a guy that seemed a little peeved that I was asking.

They charged my Credit card with in a week. we will see how long it takes to get the paper work

They charged mine in 4 days from when I sent it. Two of those days being the weekend. They are really cooking along over there.

ok a new question.... anyone know who to put down for CLEO for san diego? or info on where i can find that ?

Depends on where in SD you live... I am in El Cajon so I put down the El Cajon PD. it's your local office of PD or Sheriff.

Will be great if they process and approve a copy, I was told on the phone late last year that it had to be the green form.

Call your local field office. I called the Santa Ana one (live in GG) and I got it in less than a week.
