I like Reata Pass. Very easy to deal with. I've bought quite a few things from them.
    Poke'm with a stick!

The store is closed. It is empty. There is graffiti on the front of the store.
6/21/2021 was on a Monday. The store is closed on Mondays, it's been closed on Mondays for a long time. I went there recently when they were open, still have stock and had an auction back in May.

Any update on Little John's? I have been a customer for over 25 years but I haven't bought anything from them in about 8 years. About 10 years ago I recommended them to a friend who had inherited her fathers gun collection. Little John's auctioned it off and they were very happy. I thought he sold it to Cowan's several years ago. Sorry to hear about this.

Most auctions charge the seller 8-10% and the buyer 10-15%. Out of that the auctioneer has to cover his costs for ads and people working directly on the auction. Sellers & Buyers eat the shipping and end FFL fees.
If you figure a $500 gun nets the house $100 you need a lot of volume to pay the guy in receiving who logs it in. Somebody to photograph and write up the blurb for the catalog. The auctioneer and his assistant to show the gun. Somebody to pack and ship it along with keeping the paperwork. All that on top of the rent, insurance and light bill.

In the old days, there was just a 10% seller's fee. Then one day Sotheby's decided to charge a 10% buyer's fee. And it was off to the races. Maybe eBay will someday do likewise. We are America and greed ruins all it touches. You of all people know this. CA was sold to Mehico over greed and cheap labor and the USA manufacturing was sold to China...over greed.

There still in business as I got a S&W M1917 revolver from them. They are doing an auction out of state in Arizona because the place where they do auctions here has changed owners.
