    1917 Winny US .30-06 thoughts or worth

    Hey just want to pick some brains here and see what are your thoughts about 1917 winnys in .30-06. Have any idea what one maybe worth or what is a fair price to pay for one. Such as the one pictured below.

    I saw one for sale in a gunshop a week ago for $700. I don't remember the manufacturer though, and it had a pretty shot up barrel.

      $500 - $600

      The one in you photos seems to be in great condition. Maybe as high as $700 - $750. Depends on which way you want to massage the numbers.

        Value also depends on matching parts. These rifles had almost every part stamped with E-Eddystone, R-Remington or W-Winchester. Another thing is if it has the original WWI finish or if it was rebuilt & parkerized after the war.
