Rolled the dice on a Hakim. That has been 1 surplus gun that has always had my eye and price seemed a tad high but reasonable based on the supply in the market on these. Hopefully I don't regret it.

Almost choked when I saw the vz52/57 price. It's funny because they can't get rid of the vz52 but those x39 chamberings go fast.

My two Hakim's, quite a lot of fun to shoot.

Those are some fairly obscure offerings. I can't recall ever seeing that broad of a selection all offered at once by a single vendor anytime recently. I am pretty maxed out on C&R, but the Czech rework K98 with the winter trigger is a really cool variant. Infact, I think just about everything in that ad would be great, but some of the prices are pretty steep.

Agreed BUT an Egyptian Hakim from a warehouse in Africa = kinda cool

Sweaty Ben drew me in, I bit on the 52/57 just because I've been looking for one for a long time

will post pics when it arrives

Congrats, I really like the look of them. Maybe I should sell a few of the multiple SKS I have and get one 52/57.

Yikes that hakim price is way too much. Went to the SAR show and they were 600 to 800

+1, $999 is way too high. $600 to $750 is more appropriate.

The jewel of that might be the Yugo 98/48. Those are usually pretty nice, never saw much use. Looking at the prices Russian Captures are going for, if you want a shooter grade German 98, that might not be a bad deal. Lot more then the $279 I paid for mine, but everything cost more these days.

If the Czech K98s are matching #s I'd pull the trigger. Wondering how bad the bores are.

I'm surprised at the asking prices. The ninth rifle down, a German / Czech 98K, is technically a vz.98N, a series produced just after WW2 using a mix of German made and Czech parts. For this one they suggest an MSRP of $1,000, and a "price to you" of $700?

I've got a vz.98N that's in much better condition than the beater they're trying to sell. It was used as a parade rifle and not fired when I got it, and the receiver is marked dou.45 / Mod. 98 but with no waffenamt markings. Everything is pristine with a fine bluing job, and the extractor is still plum colored. In fact, the only appreciable wear is on the bolt handle.

I was thinking about parting with it for $450, but if they want $700 for what appears to be a so-so specimen, maybe I'm asking too little.

(Yeah, I know: worthless without pics but I'm not on any of those internet sites for photos. I'll send pics via private email when the time comes to those interested.)
