I like holsters!

For every surplus gun I acquire, I always seek out the appropriate holster. I had some down time today and took all my surplus out pistols and holsters out and took some pictures. A couple holsters are reproductions and a couple pistols are place holders for the real thing.

Nice collection there Eddie! Most of the major players---good stuff---personally, I lean towards the Browning P35 and 1911 types, but like shooting the P38 and the Lathi as well. I like some custom leather makers like Milt Sparks and especially, my old friend Gordon Davis (RIP) he would often give me prototype holsters after he perfected the model for limited production---I still have two for HK USPf (one black, one brown) that he used when he made a run of holsters for the then new USP for the Border Patrol. I had bought a USP right after they just came out to use as a carry gun when managing a gun store---there were no holsters to be had, when I called Gordon to see if he could make me a holster, he said he made just finished a bunch for the BP and I could have the two prototypes (!)---I carried that USP in Gordon's brown holster for years. The other holster is for the Browning Hi Power---an open top "Avenger" style holster that I believe he called "The Liberty Model"---really nice, simple strong-side holster...

Nice! And here I thought I was the only one that is OCD enough to make sure I have the proper holster for my various pistols. I see that I have a way to go to keep up with you.

I don't have any family pictures and quite a few of my guns are missing their respective holsters, but here is what I have so far. There are a couple that I still have to take pictures of.
