This was in amongst a purchase of antique firearms I acquired.
It's an early ASM Walker - Italian manufacture I believe.
Someone went to some trouble to remove all modern proofs, markings and worked the engraving to replicate an original - the wood is aged, sort of a half-hearted attempt to age the finish, though.
A little research with the Texas Walker collectors and I discovered there was actually an A company #68 Walker issued. So someone did some homework for this one.
Anyway - there are two .45LC conversions available (Taylors and Kirst one requires some fitting), I wondered if anyone here has slipped a conversion kit into their Walker and what their experience was?
The Colt 1848 Dragoon and the 1860 Colt Army in the pictures are both originals.
OK - this Imgur thing fixed.
