It was a fun shoot today with a lot of cool guns on the firing line. Great to see all the regulars as well.

I had fun trying out my new to me French rifles that performed well. I did get 5 shots out of my Snider Enfield converted musket, sorry to the guy that didn’t know a BP rifle was about to go off next to him First shoot was a bit unnerving with the iron barrel but all was great after that.

Thanks to the generous people that helped me with obscure calibers and try out their guns.

I had a great time and enjoyed everybody's company. Shot my new to me M48 and it performed flawlessly. Brought my sister for the first time and she thought everybody was nice.

been a while

I was a origional part of this monthly shoot.It started as a Mosin shoot.Then it was opened to all C&Rs. Plenty of nice people and guns.
I let my membership run out about three years ago.
At its peek anout 8 years ago 20 or more shooters would show up.
The nice part was shooters were so proud of their valuable guns they were letting others shoot them .
My interest in the hobbie died about three years ago over CA gun & ammo laws.Used to go into WM and walk out with cheap ammo to shoot'

No, this particular Calguns shoot stopped about four years ago.

There is another group that organizes shoots at WEGC here on Calguns. You should be able to find their thread. In that iteration, they rent out a private bay and supply a big selection of steel targets to shoot at. I believe it also includes lunch. Because of the bay rental, targets cost (plus trailer and fuel to haul them), food, etc. that is a paying event.
