    First looks like a Tokarev.

The second looks like a G43/K43.

      wow..on the first try too

good job, roger. i made it too easy. knew it would be easy on the g/k43 or gunboards forums, but wondered about here.

the g43 is a receiver/bolt matching ac44 with a sporterized stock. i'm on the hunt for an original stock, but going with a shoei repro until i find one.

the first is a '41 Tula SVT rearsenal.

both have very nice bores. the svt shoots great. havent shot the g43 yet,,waiting on a shooters kit.

      don't you have over a dozen g/k43, g41's?

        Nice looking rifles.

Smart move with the shooters kit. I was looking at some destroyed G43 parts from rifles that self destructed last night. The thought of doing that to one of mine brings tears to my eyes.

Ah, yeah - I am kinda anal on collecting German semi-autos. Wish I could collect full autos. Would have to trade my entire collection for one or two of those.

Do you go by a different name on the G/K43 forum?

          g43

i just love the ww2 german rifles. unfortunately, even tho i am 41 this year. i just recently became able to start collecting them. i wish i could have been gathering them 10 year ago or so.

stg44/mp44 is my all time favorite. but both being in california and the rarity and expense of the mp44 pretty much puts it out of contention for me.

so my plan is to gather nice examples of g/k43's and k98's.
they are painfully expensive now, but oh well.

i am new on the g/k43 forum too,,,go by touhy there. i have a shoei stock coming from the netherlands anytime now.

if you ever decide to sell any of your rifle's,,keep me in mind i am in northern cali.
