Are they selling these in stores or just shipping them?

I was at Turners in Pasadena today hoping to pick up two. The had three and I looked them over and only ended up buying one. Salesman said they'll get more in and can always order one from the warehouse.

They're pretty nice. Import markings are under the trigger guard. No slide or frame safety, they have the trigger shoe safety. I already have a real m57 trigger in my shopping cart haaha. There's a little bit of cosmo on them. Easy clean up, just put all the parts in the ultrasonic for 4 mins and they came out squeaky clean. I'll post a pic when I get it together after the trigger arrives.
Man, this place has gone bonkers.

On roster or sold as C&R?
...a fool and his money were lucky to get together in the first place...

I don't know about all of those imported, but the one I picked up a few months ago has a "G" prefix meaning it was made in 1964. Most of those I have seen are from the early to mid sixties.

All the ones at Turners are C&R. C&R is printed on the label from CAI. Mine is an F (63'-64') and the other ones they had were an F and a G. I gave em a copy of my 03 & COE, did the paperwork and I took it home to clean up.

Its a real cool gun. The trigger with the safety sucks. I had to tweak it to get it working correctly, but I have an M57 trigger on the way so I didn't mind tweaking this one as it's going to end up in the trash anyways. But mine feels like a milspec 1911. So take what you want from that. The bores of the ones I saw were good. My buddy was shooting clover leafs with it, I couldn't get that tight but towards the end of the box my groups shrank and I think I can get there

I ran some Winchester Metric ammo through it last night. Box says 1625fps, I don't know what kind of Tok they used to get those numbers but mine avg 1513fps.
I kind of want another one. I've been waiting for these M57's as they don't have the slide safety or thumb safety. Just the trigger shoe. M57 was designed with a mag disconnect but it can be removed if you want. It does not affect the trigger pull. Import stamp is small and under the trigger guard. I found 9x19 barrels for $75 too so if you don't want to shoot or load 7.62x25 you can drop that barrel in and shoot 9.

Good luck with searching. Post pics of what you pick up!

Just checked with Turner in Pasadena, they are out of the M57. Not sure when they will be getting another shipment.

Installed an M57 trigger. Its 500% better than that trigger shoe safety thing that came with it.

If Turner's starts bringing in more C&Rguns, I'll have to like them more.

I cash & carried an M57 from Turner's on Tuesday. It's a C prefix so that puts it 1960-61 & overall is in pretty nice shape. A few scratches including a Yugoslavian version of the idiot scratch from the slide stop & a little bit of bluing wear from a holster. Already have a replacement trigger on order to swap out. The guy at Turner's said I got the last one they had.
