What a crying shame. The russians have to know they're sitting on pure gold in the surplus marketplace. As badly as they need hard currency, it surprises me they won't sell them instead. Who knows? A future President might overturn the obama ban.

They should've been selling them off piecemeal for the past 70 years.

But, at least they're only using the worst condition guns. So maybe they are planning on selling some in the future.

"Local reports say that so-called “5th-grade” guns, those that are broken or in poor repair will be used for the project. In all, some 1,200 K98 Mauser rifles, 800 Walther and Luger pistols and a “dozen” MG42s will be used in the church building process."

There is still hope that someday the good ones might be available.

who cares what the russians need they're our adversaries. when they'r enot interfering with our democratic institutions they're invading neighboring countries. not sure why after 50 years of fighting the russians suddenly the american right wants to blow putin.

so when the trump term is over and the guns still arent available are you going to blame trump for not overturning "obummers" ruling or just stick to the partisan line?
