I bought a Mauser 1910 and a Mauser 1914 handgun. I took them both apart to clean them and realized the 1914 has two parts missing and an incorrect spring.
The beauty of buying similar handguns is that the parts and function are the same or at least similar. So I was able to determine easily with all the parts laid out what was incorrect and what was missing.
The 1914 is missing the striker guide and it has the wrong spring installed to make up for the missing guide. Easy fix.
It's also missing the disconnector. Now from what I've found on the usual sites (Numrich, Sarco, etc), it that there is a early version disconnector and a late version disconnector.
So my questions to the forum:
A) am I looking for the right part?
B) where else should I look?
