    Youth size Muzzle loader?

Trying to help my daughter (12)get comfortable with using larger guns. (She was terrified the air rifle would kick too hard) got her comfortable with the pellet gun and ok with the .22 but I'd like to work her up to a deer gun by the time she can hunt next year.

She has a very slender build so weight and length of the gun are challenges for her. I bought the youth stock for my 870 but with the 28" barrel it's still too long and heavy for her.

My Brother suggested a ML as we could then easily adjust the load and work her up to a deer load. Problem is I'm a noob as far as ML go so I'm not too sure what's available. I've looked at some of the current "compact " models but it seems they are all inlines which my brother had said all use 50gr increment pellets so I don't know if I can get the load adjustability I'm looking for.

Looking for suggestions from those that have "been-there-done-that"

    Thanks.

I made a 3/4 size flintlock Longrifle for my Kid - still in use as an adult
.45 Cal, 30" Octagon to Round Bbl, 12" LOP, Curly Maple Stock, German Silver Furniture. Maybe I'll edit an post photos later.

Sometime you can get lucky and find one on Track of the Wolf
Muzzle Loading & Black Powder Guns Kits, Parts, Accoutrements, Rendezvous Gear & Primitive Americana.

or other ML Supplier Sites, like The Gun Works http://www.thegunworks.com/

This might be a workable solution for me also - I have a friend who reloads his own .270 ammo and I'm sure could help me with this.
