    Ontario gun show saterday

Been at least 6 months since my last gun show . Saw a pretty nice Remington
1903a3 for 700. I was not shopping for a rifle Bought 8mm mauser ppu for my M48.Found a original used M48 sling for 10 bucks. cleaning patches,10 round mag for my mini 14.I still like gun shows. One seller had a very nice M48 bayonet for 60 dollars, wish i bought it now.

Yeah, I enjoy the occassional show here in Salt Lake also. Financial constraints require that I focus on just what I am looking for but I also enjoy being a Looky Loo...
Since the Great Western shows I have yet to buy any jerky!!

I'm looking forward to attending a gun show here in AZ to see what they're like in comparison. There's one coming up in a couple of weeks but I'm not sure if I'll make it due to company coming in that weekend.

Enfield47- you wont miss the CA shows one bit. The worst AZ shows are like the ca shows but with better stuff. The best is.. well, you'll see in 2 months 🤣

I hadn't been in a long time. Probably won't be back. $16 admission, wow. Not sure how they justify that with that small a show. Attendance way down from what I saw like a year ago.

Metal detecting wanding walking in. Not sure what parking cost I'm sure was predatory. I parked far and walked for exercise.

I did find a rare rifle nobody but me cares about. And a set of grips and a magazine but nothing super exciting. I can go to gun shops and the internet to shop for guns for free so this is probably my last Ontario show. I also skipped last two Costa Mesa shows.

It is sad to see what CA shows have become. Not that out of state ones are paradise but CA ones are about done for.

Who decided the metal detectors? The city or the venue?

Couple of years ago they had the full size ones..

Also restrictions on Food & Beverage being brought in to show....

I have worked this show since it started over ten years ago. It has really gone downhill, as have the others. The ammo dealers are really doing badly. One who usually has a bad show with 500 transactions had 40 by Sunday morning. MiWall now has half the crew, and now has CA prices to make up for all the nonsence. Everything is now priced higher in CA to make up for failed background checks, and people basically not wanting to buy ammo much here anymore. The aisles are now huge to hide the large amount of empty tables on row after row. Very sad situation for CA gun guys since this just keeps getting worse before getting any better.

I went to a show in Post Falls Idaho with my buds grandson last month. We spent half the day there. Great venue, and scored on some Yugo SKS ammo pouches (with ammo on strippers), SKS sling, web sling, a set of rings, 1K .223, and a cool Wilcox knife, all for dirt. $8 bucks at the door, free parking. The vendors were ready to deal and coulda bought something, but nothing jumped out at me. PAX

Ont may not be what it use to be especially when it was in Pomona, these are different times but still had some nice small ring Mausers, Springfields plus others available. Still better than buying on line and shipping to CA.

Not to me. My FFL is very transfer friendly, and deals are to be had across the country if you're patient. The trick is trusting the fella on the opposite end, and good pictures. I've never bought through an auction house, only private sellers or the occasional commercial vendor. Haven't run into anything not anticipated so far, and at very good prices to me. PAX

Did anyone who went to the Ont Gun Show get a chance to see the Pattern 1914 Enfield near the entrance?
