SoCal Monthly C&R Shoot at WEGC - Sunday October 13th

The range is private, but we can sign people in as guests.

If you want to go as a guest, post here and request a member to take you as a guest. If you are a guest, and the person that signed you in leaves the range, you must leave as well.

Please clean up after yourself, bring your targets back, pick up your brass, throw your trash into the bins, etc.

WEGC now has steel core ammo restrictions. The policy is:

"Steel core ammunition may only be shot at the main range when considered safe by the Range Director or Range Officer(s) on duty. Criteria used to determine when it is safe will be based on weather conditions such as wind, Fire Danger Level as determined by the US Forest Service or Cal Fire, moisture content in vegetation on WEGC property and any other factor that would make it unsafe to shoot this type of ammunition. Fire season is generally May to November"

We'll set up some steel targets to shoot and will have another friendly C&R shooting competition!

Please be considerate of other people's property and do not shoot at their metal targets without permission. At the last shoot, someone knocked over my steel target while I was still setting up. They then intentionally shot 10 holes in the mild steel portions of the stand while it was knocked over. That person didn't step forward when asked and didn't admit to doing it. I will have to buy new brackets. For that reason, I will no longer be giving permission to shoot my steel targets.

I don't understand why some people have to shoot at everything they see on the range, whether it's steel targets that someone else brought, other people's paper, flags, signs, etc that happen to be in the firing area. It bugs the Hell out of me when people can't stick to using the target(s) they brought and not shooting at anything else without any sort of knowledge of what they're shooting at and if they should be doing it.
