    Reno Gun Show

FWIW, the Reno Gun Show will move to the Nugget next March. The next one in November is the last one at the Reno Convention Center.

Hummmmm ......... on the plus side parking shouldn't be an issue. I am trying to remember the layout of the nugget and I think the venue is going to be smaller. The show isn't what is use to be. I am still trying to decide if I am going in November.

I will be going as the November show is usually the best of the three yearly shows. Besides, for people in Northern California name a better show in driving distance? I share a table with a fellow Luger collector and like getting in for setup beginning Wednesday night and Thursday day. I rarely sell as I am still in the collector stage although I will be bringing the last of my early P38's for sale. Curt

Winter is coming in a little early. Already snowing over the Sierra. Would expect heavy snow by Mid - November the things are going vs December first snow prior years.

What is the object of going to a gun show in Nevada when you Cannot buy guns? Or, can you buy them and have them sent to your FFL?

If you have a C&R license you can buy 50+ year old item and bring them home to ca. (Must be ca legal) Little value for those without a C&R due to the additional cost of shipping to a ca ffl for transfer.

Those magazines are definitely available on eBay. I used to like going to shows but the declining quality and increasingly restrictive laws make them much less attractive.

If you get lucky and buy a firearm from a CA vendor in your vicinity, it can work out nicely. It happens.

If you have a C&R and buy a qualified gun you do not even need a COE, just take it back to California, fill out a form within 5 days, send in $19 and it is registered. So easy even a caveman can do it. Curt

Thanks for the link. I heard he put on a good show with solid vendors but that it wasn't well attended by the public buyers. I think there's enough room for both, folks should give him a try. I'll go, then zip up to OR via Rte 89.

I'm still trying to decide if I should go to the last cow palace gun show this November to see it before it's gone for good or just go to the Big Reno show instead...

Just curious, if you rarely sell anything why do you set up a booth? Are you still able to enjoy the show as a vendor?

There are other smaller Gun shows and Crossroads isnt going away but moving to new location. Try out the smaller shows. If you can try out Modesto or Vallejo next weekend.

First of all there are no booths just tables lined up in rows. All the sellers have somebody to watch their table while they circulate or they cover them up. As I do not bring much for sale I spend more time looking to fill in a few gaps in my collection. I am on the tail end of acquiring so my needs are very focused and not easy to find. I am a quality not quantity collector. A lot of deals go down during setup and without a vendor table you can not get in. Curt
