What type of Brass are you using?

Also have a IV but need to find some 24 GA Shotgun Brass to load some rounds.

I bought a .310 Cadet marked NSW with the kangaroo engraving for $20 from a policeman acquaintance in 1961, never shot. it or altered it for the next 53 years. Finally acquired some very expensive custom-loaded ammo about three years ago ago, shot it a few times and then sold it to a dealer in old rifles last year for $400. Nice group of Martinis

These are Jamison brass picked up from Midway about 10 or more years ago. I bought 75 24 Ga brass cases from a source I can not recall and a nice chap on the Martini Gunboards forum sized them for me for a box of 25 unsized cases. I only neck size the cases so I expect them to last a long time.

                  Great pics!
Always intrigued by these but never got one, a friend had a Mk IV and after watching him deprime Berdan brass, paper patch bullets and drop tube the powder I kinda shied away from them.
I thought about get one of the IMA wrapped ones way back, but something else always came first.
I eventually picked up a Greener shotgun from Cheaper Than Dirt for a 45-70 project, but it has just been sitting in the safe.

I buy them already done from Western bullets.

My brass is boxer primed. I don't use a drop tube, just a couple of scoopers from my old Lee powder charge set. Believe me, getting enough powder into the cases is not a problem. Keeping it in place is the problem. I use a tuft of carded wool over the powder to hold it in place. 80gr doesn't come anywhere near to filling the case.
