    Colt letter

I ordered a Colt archive letter on my New Service .45 and got it in the mail today. The revolver had been shipped 12/22/1919 to the Wm H Hoegee company in Los Angeles. I bought it from a Calgunner in the L.A. area in about 2010 so it didn't leave the area, at least not permanently, for 90 years.

I bought a SW Heavy Duty at the now gone Glendale gun show and it lettered to a shop in Los Angeles in the 30s if I remember correctly. Same thing, it never left the area in all those years.

Nice Colt! I also have a 1955 S&W Heavy Duty 38/44. The heavy frame makes it a joy to shoot. Quite different from shooting a K frame, I think.
