    Obrez possible?

I just saw one of these, and I'm not sure on the SBR and NFA laws application to C&Rs. I know the "once a rifle always a rifle" rule. So i want to know if it possible to convert a crappy 91/30 to one of these legally.

As for why, its just for the cool factor.

In this state, the only SBR you can have must be C&R. I believe this would fit the bill. Use the search function in regards to estate trusts and SBRs. You would still need to file the paperwork with the ATF and get approval before pulling out a hacksaw.
I have a beater $25 M91/30 that I have been considering "Obrez-ing" one of these days.
