Found a correct magazine for $40; I usually get two magazines for all my surplus pistols, I'm good for now.

Finger rest floor plate or flat bottom? Great price for the finger rest floor plate.
The Flat plate is actually for the Helwen model, I think.

I agree a minimum of 2 or more mags for anything I own.

I got the finger rest plate. I usually just get an extra magazine for my surplus pistols because I always get the proper surplus holster as well; got to fill up that magazine pouch.

Good condition. Great bore. The internals show less wear than the finish does. Grips uncracked and all there. Magazine is snappy. Took mine home w/o a 10 day wait. Two thumbs up.

The guy with the hat appears...different....but has a good YT clip on the 1951 non the less.

Especially interesting is the locking mechanisms that I never thought would be a problem.

If I remember correctly, the commercial Helwan had the cracking locking block associated to either poor metallurgy or heat treat.

I remember the thinking that the P1 or P38 should never fire +P because of potentially cracking the locking block.

I picked up mine today as well (and my Yugo M57); no 10 day wait. It looks great.

Got a couple of questions:

How do I find out the year of manufacture? There is no year stamped on the slide or proof code on the trigger guard.

Also, is there a Italian Navy acceptance stamp on these pistols? Is it the third picture?

I see these available from various vendors like Palmetto. Can I buy one and have it shipped to my Cali FFL? Does it have to be on the roster? Or do I have to have a C&R license?
