Local JCG type matches in N. CA

Does anyone know of a club in northern California (like north of Sac) that conducts John C. Garand type matches once in a while? I was all primed to go down to Pendleton for the Western Games but but I just couldn't make it work with my schedule. I would still like to get involved in some rifle competition though. Even a High Power type match would be fine, I'm just looking for something I can shoot my M1's in.

I believe Sac Valley has monthly Garand matches that follow the same course of fire as the JCG CMP Garand matches.. I'd shoot them but it's a 1hr 45min drive from my house to Sac Valley... too far for only 35 shots......... and I'd hate to go and win it every time....

Up here, Redwood Gun Club has them, 200 yards, 100 yards, and the 25 yard clip dump.

Lincoln Rifle Club holds a club hi-power (half course) on Thursday eves throughout the spring / summer and NRA hi-power one saturday a month. Last NRA match is Nov 18th. google lincoln rifle club for membership info.
