Hopefully you don't mind waiting 30-45 minutes just to get your existence acknowledged by one of their 2 sales staff and another half hour before you can be helped. Or being told by the 3rd salesman who stands by the the scopes that "those guns aren't my section" despite no customers at his section. These are Yugo mausers, I wouldn't call $369 a bargain and the ad says "$369 and UP" so I'm curious what their pricing tier vs condition is like. How high does "up" go? $500? $600? Someone find out and report back in this thread! Not a bad deal on the Mosins though. Still, I'd rather buy from a local calgunner if I was in the market, I stopped patronizing RCGE years ago due to their refusal to properly staff their store and poor product layout. Popped in a few months ago on a lark to pick up some cleaning supplies, after 15 minutes of standing at the register area I remembered why I stopped going there, then returned the products to the shelf and walked out. Noticed the bearded scope guy was just idling by his empty scope and knife section. Plenty of other shops in the area who are grateful to take your money and have competent management. If you've ever been to the store you know what I'm talking about.

91/30 refurbs are back around $200 or less on GunBroker. $350 for one is crazy. You can get a Tikka 91/30 for $350. The Yugo prices are good if they are matching. Just goes to show the collectors telling younger guys to overpay for their rifles because they aren't making anymore are full of it. They don't need to make anymore. Plenty were made, plenty were imported, and plenty are still being imported.

I don't have any love for River City gunshop, but Oddball wants to know what's with all the Negative Waves?

They had some that were 500-600 and in my opinion I’d rather get a Russian capture German one since the one for 369 you would definitely get a splinter or 2 on and they are real rough

Yup. Don't go on a weekend. Weekday's during business hours is not too bad. Sometimes I can sneak in there during my lunch break.

Had horrible experiences with them my last 2 visits. While they have some neat selection, I will not be going there again.

River City is busy because other independent gun shops in Sac area are disappearing quickly, at least a half-dozen just this year. That leaves us with chain stores which have few if any nonroster consignment handguns or used rifles.

Mustang Firearms in Grass Valley has a nice supply of off roster, Sierra Gun Supply, and the shop in Roseville are all good alternatives.
