    Let's play a game... WWII 1911A1

I recently acquired another WWII 1911A1 (unfortunately I haven't brought it home yet).

There is something a little "different" about this one.

Can anyone ID what is special about it?

*Beetle isn't allowed to play since he has already seen many detailed photos of it! If you are reading this, thanks again for your assistance!

Something weird about the spacing with M 1911 A1, like double spaced?

US&S made 1911-A1 pistols for the US in WWII. They only made about 50K of them compared to 875,000 made by Remington-Rand, Colt 628,808 and Ithaca produced 335,467. They have become rather expensive of late with nice original examples selling for well over 5 grand.

This means you already have a Singer?

                    I wish!

It just means that I know I can't afford a Singer...

I wouldn't get mad if I randomly inherited one.

On a side note, I wonder if all of the Singers (in existence) are accounted for?
