Is a Nagant Revolver (Model 1895) considered a Cruio and Relic?

Been searching around the forum and I still can not tell for sure if a Nagant Revolver is considered a curio and is CA exempt. I guess what is boils down to is that is it alright for me to buy a Model 1895 Nagant from out of state and ship it to a FFL? If it is alright, then do I have to pass the Handgun Safety Certificate test in order to own it?
I know Nagant revolver isn't exactly great but I feel like a got to have at least one because I am a fan of old Commie firearms. Thanks for reading and any response is much appreciated.

Yes, it's a C&R and therefor is exempt from the safe handgun list. Still need and HSC, still have to go through an 01FFL and the DROS process to purchase one.

Wow! That's great news. Though, I am unclear as to what is a 01FFL and if there any nearby Orange County. Is there one near a Ade's Gun Store?

Ade's is an 01 FFL. The 01 FFL is the license held by your regular old gun store owner. Mr. Livingston mentioned the 01 to differentiate it from the 03 that many people obtain so that they can have rifles shipped straight to their doors. Handguns cannot be sent to an 03 FFL in California.

1895 is 22 years before the Bolshevik revolution. That is a Czarist weapon.

1895 is the model, they were made many years after that. Well into the 1920's and 1930's, off the top of my head.

They stopped making them after '45 I believe. Mine is a '45 Izzy, only made in that factory for about 2 years. I like it alot, had it shipped here from out of state, Just wish I could afford to shoot it.

Nagants were made from 1895 to 1945, with slight variations. They're all C&Rs. As for them not being that great, the accuracy (especially when shooting single-action, the bloody trigger is something like 20# in double-action) is very good even out of my beater 1942 Izzy (and much better from the rest). The trajectory is pretty much flat until about 20 yards. The main problems are the trigger pull and, from what I read, bullet penetration. Since I only fight paper targets, the latter isn't a concern

I had seen in J&G 32 acp cylinders for the 1985, anyone have any experience with these?

Each 32 acp cylinder must be fitted to the individual gun, it's not true drop in. I've heard of some cylinders working well with little modification (filing) and some not working no matter what the smith did. Frankly, it's a large investment that is not guaranteed to work.
