Hopkins and Allen XL No. 3

Ok, the below link is asking$4K+

Simpson Limited - Explore our trusted selection of antique and modern firearms, collectibles, and accessories. Family-owned since 1962.

Helping a friend who's husband passed value his collection.

Her's is in perfect brand new condition, not ONE mark on the nickle, in a rose wood box, with 65 individual 32 cal rim fire bullets, and key to said rose wood box.

I am seeing all over that these things are only a few hundred dollars.

Why on earth is the above link $4600?

I just want to make sure my friend doesn't have a diamond among the rest of the collection.

That is nice. That Simpsons place is a dreaming for sure. The original cardboard box ads a little to theirs, but not 1000.00s LOL

I think you are in the or around the range of value. I would say it could be be pretty broad. But 300.00 to 600.00 depending on who is after it. The nickel on your friends example almost looks to good to be original. Even with perfect storage conditions and no use, nickel will usual age after that much time passing. I am not ruling out it somehow could have survived so pristine. Just would be unusual. The Nickel process was just not that advanced in those days and time usual took its toll, whether the firearm was used or not..
