Try the "old West Gun Room" on carslen Blvd in El Cerrricto-not sure of my spelling.I have not been there in years since i moved to Southern CA-but they have sold BP for years, also the Castro Valley Gun Shop on Castro Valley Blvd.

I did 1-lb out of willow charcoal, stump-remover (KNO3), and sulfur. And it was satisfying knowing that it can be done, shot well enough out of my flintlock and 45-70 trapdoor, and had a lot of fun tried to make it work.

I bought my powder at a shop in San Jose. I can't remember the name of it. When you get off of the 101 exit, you make a right. That's about all I can recall, lol.

Old West Gun Room does carry blackpowder. They can only stock 25 lbs at a time. Currently, they only have a few lbs of Swiss 1.5 F. They said some GOEX 3F should be in within a few weeks.

Another source for GOEX is in Auburn at Sierra Gun Supply, just a few minutes off I-80.

I'm looking for a group of several N. Bay BP shooters to do a co-op bulk order of 25 lbs (mixed brands/types, 1 lb. cans) of BP from an online supplier, such as Graf's. That would make the one-time hazmat charge (about $25) more palatable.
