Could be a pretty good one. Post some pics of the area just forward of the Barrel band, and the stake markings and stamps on the rear sight if you can.

rear sight has 1 punch mark on the right rear and one on the right front also , marked S on left and GE-Q on the right.
no import marks on barrel , Rock-ola 6-43 , P , and a flaming bomb are the only markings I could find
        cheap camera phone pic's...sorry

That could be a early enough one to have a I cut Highwood stock. What stamp is in the Slingwell?

Sorry I see it now. That is a very desirable Rock-Ola stock there. I also do not see any shadows from it ever having a Bayonet lug either.

hand guard is S-HB , most likely a replacement
                sear GE-Q
                trigger LT-Q
                recoil plate RO-Q
                firing pin NL-Q
                extractor ST-Q
                front sight J-Q
                mag catch LT-Q
                oiler IS
sling unmarked correct C tabs (?)
barrel band unmarked 3 spot welds , swivel is a repro.
may not be 100% correct but lots of QH marked parts , not sure about the rest , still researching

Another desirable part, Rock-Ola Barrel. Whats the date on the Barrel? I am not sure if Quality ever received any Barrels from Rock-Ola. But it is possible I suppose.

6-43 , Rock-ola shipped barrels the QH up till middle of 43 I believe...still doing my homework on this M1
Rock-ola was close to QH , they got barrels and stocks from them just because they were close by

Its not in good enough shape to worry about shooting it. Shoot it, enjoy it, and know that it won't hurt the value.
