Picked up a Broomhandle

Picked this up earlier this year and finally got around to snapping some pics.

This was one of 3 firearms that were my "last hurrah" with my 03FFL before it expired

Haven't had a chance to take it apart or shoot it yet but I definitely got it as a shooter.

It has a very 'brown' patina. The hammer looks like someone went at it with a wire brush or something. Bore looks nice. No rust to speak of but the grip frame under the wood is quite pitted.

Firing pin was broken but dealer friend of mine that I bought it from offered to replace it before I picked it up

For $620 bucks I figured it would make a good "first" in my collection

Not sure if grips are original but they seem pretty frail so I'll probably get some repros from Numrich or Sarco

From the looks of it these are the "1930" grips, anyone know if these are correct?

Bring it by the next WEGC shoot - lots of Broomhandle experts if you had any questions, including me.

Definitely if you plan on shooting it, get a new set of Wolff springs and check the bolt stop for any damage - you don't want the bolt flying out into your face should it fail.

I've been well stocked on ammo for a while now and this is the first time in a long time that I'm not going to be able to just buy online

I love shooting mine, but the only downside is the cost of the ammo. Best I have found is about .45 per round.
