    Wilkinson linda?

Is the Wilkinson Linda a C & R? Can it get shipped to this foreign state? Or is it a illegal alien?

Wilkinson made some great guns, right here in Idaho.

I had a Linda but sold it pre-2000, and wish I had kept it. Bought it at Red Star Military in Culver City way back when. 31 round magazine, functioned flawlessly, but as a 9mm, it was a lot of heft and nothing really different than what a Glock could do better, other than you could put a scope or early lasers on it (which laughingly resembled "cell" phones of the day, that is to say a just little smaller than a bread-box! )

The company started and manufactured guns in Covina, CA first. Moved to Idaho later.

John Ray Wilkinson (went by Ray), wife Diane, and they had 3 daughters, Linda, Terry and Sherry.

He named his creations after his kin. There was the Linda, the Terry carbine which preceded the Linda (which you see here in this thread) the Diane (his wife) which was a .25ACP compact, and the Sherry which was a .22LR version of the Diane.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

Because I think that is the Terry carbine, not the Linda. The Linda is a pistol with a foregrip, cocking handle is on the left side, not the top like a MAC, and the receiver looks more compact and round, round at the back, not squared.

Need to confirm when it as made, in order to determine if it is C&R due to being 50+ years of age.

Wilkinson Arms did not exist before 1970.
During the 1960s, the person who would create Wilkinson Arms was working for J&R Engineering, which made the M68 & M80 carbines.

Wilkinson Arms made the Linda from 1970-1998.
Northwest Arms made the Linda from 2000-2005.
Wilkinson Arms (new company with the old name) started new production of the Linda in 2016.

Also note that there is no C&R exemption to the CA assault weapons laws.

The Linda carbine is classified as an assault weapon due to it being a semi-auto centerfire rifle that does not have a fixed magazine and has a pistol grip and a folding stock.

The Linda pistol is classified as an assault weapon due to it being a semi-auto pistol that does not have a fixed magazine and has a second handgrip.
