Inglis Chinese Hi-Power slide/barrel match, but frame doesn't - value?

Just won a Gunbroker auction and bid a little too hastily on the Inglis Chinese Contract Hi-power in question - didn't read that the frame serial doesn't match the barrel/slide (which do match). Frame serial is 4CHXXX; slide/barrel are 5CHXXXX.

It also comes with what looks to be a repro Chinese shoulder stock, as well as a "JI" marked magazine; it also has two Chinese characters stamped on the slide indicating "Official Pistol." It also has a hole for a lanyard ring, but is missing such a ring. Don't seem to see any import marks on it; I understand that KFS marked theirs on the heel, but there appear to be no such marks on this pistol.

I will pay about $1000 + shipping/transfer fees for this pistol; would I be able to get about that much out of it, should I decide to sell? Did I do ok for what the pistol is?

The auction, for reference, is over here:

All that matters is if you are happy with it. Collecting C&R's isn't about the $$.

These pistols are pretty scarce, so at least you have one in your collection. Who knows maybe in a few years you might find a all matching example and "upgrade'. Until then you have one in your collection.

    Congrats.

      This ^

There is really no bluebook price for a non-matching shooter - it's how much you like it, and what the next buyer may be interested in spending.

Thanks all. I was just kind of bummed out about it, but I hope the stock (repro or original can't tell), original magazine, and those Chinese markings (police issue?) will comp for the lack of matching numbers.

Hard to tell on the stock. Usually, it comes down to the screws/hinges to determine whether it's original or not. The screw heads on the stock do look flat, where mine were domed, so it "might" be a reproduction, but I'm sure that others know more than I do. For reference: This is my Inglis MK 1* that I had sold a while back to a friend out of state. This one had an original stock. If you're wondering what the Chinese characters on your slide mean, they translate to Gong Qiang. Roughly translates to "Official Gun" or "People's Gun" signifying military use. I hope this helps a bit! For reference, mine was all matching, nice bore, import marked, and the lug on the stock was stripped so the screw wouldn't tighten, and I got $1500 out of it. I think that you have likely done just fine price wise. Just my two cents.
