I wouldn't shoot it, as it looks unsafe. Someone might want it for display.

What looks unsafe about it? It looks perfectly fine except for signs of aging on the lead.

Really, really nice - looks like 5mm and 7mm pinfire ammo - looks like two separate calibers.

Collectable ammo is better sold individually -
It takes time and patience and is a pain in the behind.

As I am sure you realize - This being pinfire ammo an emphasis on safe packing should be observed. It's not going to jump up and kill anyone, but, regardless slightly special care.

If you try to sell it in bulk - it will not realize anywhere near the same figure. But with those beautiful original boxes, and such a good number of rounds, you might be surprised - start the auction at $300-$400 and be prepared to cycle the auction for a few weeks.
Make sure to use a bunch of key words in the auction description so it appears in various searches:
Pin fire pin-fire lefacheaux collectable ammo ammunition etc.,

$20 a round is right, but, buyers are not too common - but these rounds are good and rare.

There is 5mm pin fire for $26 a round onGB
And 7mm for $45 a round - but this doesn't mean that's a market retail, it just means one seller has chosen that figure to sell for.

*This post is written by an ammo collector with a huge amount of collectable ammo that would take 20 years to sell at a profit, lol.

It looks like you have 2 different sizes of pinfire cartridges there, and the box says ".38 Colt" so perhaps it is not the original box that goes to those specific cartridges? Very neat find! How old is your friends house? Pinfire cartridges were pretty obsolete by 1900

That means only shoot it at something valuable.
