    Three guns value please help

    Hi,
My friend inherited some guns from his father.
He kept them for years but since he is not a hunter and do not use them at all he thinks of selling them. I'm trying to help him to get a rough estimate of the value range.
    1. Ithaca 37R 2 3/4 chamber year 1945-50
    2. Mossberg 46M 22 L-S-LR Year 1945-50
    3. Husqvarna Vapenfabriks AB 30-06 Year 1950-55

    He sent me some pictures.

      #1=$125-150

      #2= $75 =or- ten bucks.

#3= Need more info. Caliber? Bore condition? Just from the poor pictures I would say maybe $250~300. A picture of the manufacturers info stamped on the receiver and/or barrel would be nice.

All less than $200 each at most. Poor condition and rust.

37r runs the Ithaca at $165 for an 80% condition
          Mossberg $95 - $150 at 60-80%
          No listing on the Husky

values from the most recent edition of the blue book.

Need lots better pics for a more accurate idea though.
          Yeah.

          I'm pissed.
WTB: Rhodesian A5 FN 12G Shotgun...ah, never mind. Prices have become stupid...
WTB: FN FS2000..don't care anymore about this one either.

Does not look like poor condition. Supposed to be average plus to good per his descriptions. Maybe he will be able to bring them to my shop for cleaning and more better evaluation.

I'll ask him to make better pictures or the above.

Thank you guys for your help.

All look to have active rust or pitting from rust... That equals poor condition

If you don't want to hear honest answers, I guess don't ask questions. There is nothing special about any of them, except maybe the Huski, the other two are common in average condition. If you really want to be depressed about how much they are worth, take them to your local gun shop.

I sold a Mossberg 46M a couple of years ago, and got $150 for it. Looks like they sell for about that, judging from the completed Gunbroker auctions.

Likewise, completed auctions for the Ithaca 37R show a couple sold in the $350 - $380 range.

I found a pair of sold Husqvarna's, one went for $915 and the other went for $550.

Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

he will bring the guns to me next week. We will clean them, evaluate and i'll be able to take much better pictures for your review.

BigBoss, Thanks for the link. It is what was my rough estimate, but obviously, without seeing the guns there is no point in taking your time. I jumped the trigger too soon.

BTW, the guy is located in San Jose and former LEO. JFYI

In the Bay Area he should be able to hold out for top dollar, could take a while. I would be leaning to the cheap side myself. Obviously they don't mean anything to him. PAX
